Warm Air Heating

For areas where customers or employees may prefer warm air, Calor LPG warm air heating can provide a solution. There are two types of warm air systems: direct-fired and indirect-fired.

Direct-fired heaters are over 90% efficient with heat discharge either through directional grills or via ducting. This highly efficient method may be linked to extract ventilation and is ideal for locations that have high ventilation rates.

Direct-fired systems are also available as combined heating and ventilation systems. This means that the same system can be used for warming or cooling, to suit the occupants and activities taking place in the building.

Indirect-fired heaters give an easily controlled, fast response. They require flues and are ideally suited to modern, well-sealed buildings with low air change rates - they can also be used as a warm air curtain.

When you have chosen the type of warm air heating most suitable for your needs you can select from the four main types of warm air heater:

1. Cabinet Heaters

These are generally vertical floor-standing units, but can alternatively be horizontally suspended, for ducted or free-blowing applications.

2. Unit Heaters

These are specifically designed for suspended applications, are highly efficient, and are the most popular type of warm air heater allowing full utilisation of valuable floor space.

3. Balanced Flue Heaters

Most frequently used in individual offices, churches, village halls, and school classrooms. They only need an outside wall that enables air intake and flue ducts to be easily installed. They can also be used in temporary buildings thanks to the option of a portable Calor LPG supply.

4.Combined heating and ventilation

These supply fresh air, whether warming or cooling, to suit the occupants and activities taking place in the building.
